A Programmatic Agreement amounting to € 35,000 has been signed between the Regional Authority of
Eastern Macedonia & Thrace and the Ministry of
Culture and Tourism for the conduction of a
restoration study of the auditorium.
The works are now in progress.
The
main object of this Programmatic Agreement is
the completion
of
topographical
and
architectural
restoration work
in
the
hollow
of the ancient theatre which will then reassure
the safe concession of the monument itself
for
various
cultural
events
within the
festival
Philippi-Thassos.
