Ancient theatre of Eretria

·         Members of the “Medusa” Movement of Active Citizens took the initiative to clean off the theater from wild flora.

·         A commission for the conduction of a study for the monument’s restoration is required.

·         Diazoma has been in consultation with the relevant Archaeological Service and the Swiss School of Archaeology.

·         With money raised in monument’s money box (donations from sponsors and citizens) Diazoma comitted a study for the conservation and restoration of the ancient theater to scholars Nike Apostolou, Fotini Belliou and George Ninos.

• The Prefecture of Central Greece - Sub-Region of Evia signed a Programmatic Agreement with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism that funds with  the amount of 30,000 euros the project "Topographical and architectural survey of the ancient theater of Eretria."

·         A Programmatic Agreement between the Municipality of Eretria and the Ministry of Culture funds with the amount of € 20,000 minor excavations and conservation of the stone. Through these Programmatic Agreements  all the necessary studies will be comitted directly by the relevant Archaeological Service.
