Ancient theatre at the Asklepieion of Epidaurus (small theater)

·         The project “Conservation, restoration and enhancement of monuments in Epidaurus” joined the National Strategic Reference Framework (NSRF), with a funding of € 3,000,000.

·         The project is performed by the Committee for the Restoration of Epidaurus Monuments (Ministry of Culture and Tourism) and funded by the NSRF (Operational Program Competitiveness - OPC).

·         The Epidaurus Monuments Conservation Commission is planning the following works in the area of the theater of the City of Epidaurus:

1.       conservation and fortification of the northern part of the theater (north backstages, etc.)

2.       conservation and fortification of the newly discovered Roman bath complex located in the SW of the theater and

3.       revelation, fortification and protection of the monumental scattered parts located in the NW of the theater.

·         Diazoma has opened a bank account (money box) for the additional funding of the project at the small ancient theater of Epidaurus.

·         Preparatory works have began.
