Ancient Theater of Aigeira

·         As part of the broader work titled “Restoration and enhancement of the archaeological site of Palaiokastron in Aigai (Ancient Aigeira)” the theater has been integrated in the National Strategic Reference Framework (NSRF), with a total funding of € 450,000.

·         The biggest part of the theater auditorium has been thoroughly cleaned.
Efforts are made to expropriate the zone at the entrance of the archaeological site  in order to improve visitors’ access to the monument.

·         Works in progress include the completion of the cleaning process and the use of a special filling material for the support of the auditorium, as well as works for the enhancement of the archaeological sites (access improvement, new fencing construction, bilingual signing, etc.).
