Ancient Theater of Abdera

• Topographic works on the monument have been completed, with a € 5,000 funding allocated by the Municipality of Abdera to the Ministry of Culture & Tourism through a Programmatic Agreement.

• The geophysical research sponsored by the University of Thessaloniki has been completed.

• The first phase of the test tranches sections has been completed, with a € 30,000 funding allocated by the Prefecture of Xanthi to the Ministry of Culture & Tourism through a Programmatic Agreement.

• For the completion of the second phase of the test tranches sections, the Regional Authority of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace provides 50,000 to the Ministry of Culture & Tourism through a Programmatic Agreement.

• 02-04-2012: The signing of the Agreement has been completed.

• Object of the second Programmatic Agreement was the continuation of the excavation. This Agreement was amended.
